Small and lightweight, easy to hold and use. The pins are not super stiff, they feel a little bit softer than other slicker brushes we have used and the handle is comfortable for long brushing sessions. Cats enjoy.

My trusty four footed companion Aloysius was kind enough be my test pilot. This did comb out a healthy amount of fur and didn't cause any discomfort. The bristles however could be a bit sharp for a pet with thinner hair as they do bend about a quarter of an inch from the end. It made brushing a little less stressful when i brushed in reverse as the points didn't do any digging. The surface area is a good size for a lap cat or dog. This is the larger size and had plenty of bristles to comb out unruly fur. The natural wood handle and body are very good quality and seem like it will last quite a while. I'd recommend this over cheap plastic brushes of the same type and price point.
